Seekers Kids FAQs
What is Seekers Kids?
Seekers Kids is the group of kids from babies to 6th grade that our team is committed to growing spiritually into warriors for Christ.
What is taught?
For preschool, we use the CBN Superbook stories to teach the Bible in a way that 4 & 5 year olds can understand.
For K - 6th grade, we use the Gospel Project for Kids.
We believe in teaching our kids the Word of God and Bible stories to allow them the capacity to fight the daily battles and challenges they’re faced with. We want all of them to know that Jesus is the ONLY way!
What are the different age groups?
Infants to 23 months
2 & 3 year olds
4 & 5 year olds
1st - 6th grade
When do we meet?
Seekers Kids meets Sunday mornings during the Worship Service.
We also have midweek sessions throughout the year. Our next midweek session will begin in August. We will continue with our Bible Drills curriculum.
What is Bible Drills?
Bible Drills is a journey for kids K-6th grade where they are learning to hide God's Word in their hearts for a lifetime. Through Bible Drills, kids become familiar with God's Word by spending time in the Bible. They memorize scripture and the 66 books of the Bible as well as learn Bible Skills.
What is the check in process?
When you arrive, you will sign your kids in at our Seekers Kids check in desk. Each child will receive a personalized name tag. Each child in that family has the same code on the name tag. The parent/guardian then receives a tag with that family code. Your child will then be escorted or carried to their class. For the first couple of times, until the child gets acquainted with our teachers, volunteers, staff, and facilities, we will allow the parents to walk to the classrooms.
What is the check out process?
Parents MUST keep the tag with the code on them. They will present that ticket at the checkout door that is located inside the sanctuary. Only one parent/guardian is needed at checkout. The area is too small for multiple family members to gather during this process. When you present your tag, please let the checkout volunteer know the name and age of your child(ren). Someone will then gather them and bring them to you. They will verify your code matches the code assigned to your child(ren) and then they're all yours!
Who is teaching my kids and keeping my babies?
All of our volunteers are required to go through a background check and meet with a leader of the church.
How can I become a volunteer?
You can contact our Seekers Kids director, Loren Lee, at lorenlee@seekerspoint.org
